Abstract

In this paper, new block designs for comparing test treatments with a control for k (block size) ± v (number of treatments) have been proposed by using the method of cyclic shifts. The construction method helps in assessing important properties of the designs without constructing the actual blocks of the designs. These newly proposed designs possess the property of Aoptimality for some specific values of b (number of blocks), v and the block size k (± v).
